A new 3.5G high-speed packet data access (HSDPA) PDA phone has been launched in some countries in Asia. It’s from Regional 3C brand Verzio and the phone is branded as Verzio Envii. Although it was already available in the Philippines as early as March, it is only now that the it has been released in some parts of Asia. The Verzio Envii runs on Marvell PXA270 processor at 624MHZ and has Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 for its OS. And with this OS, the Verzio Envii gives access to various Microsoft Office applications. It also comes preloaded with media player functions, Outlook Mobile with Direct Push, mobile internet access, active function and vbasic functions. It is definitely a powerful PDA phone despite the well known branding. Hopefully it gets available internationally as it could definitely give other mobile phone brands a run for their money. Other features of the Verzio Envii include, GSM Triban (900/1800,1900 MHz), HSDPA/UTMS/GPRS, 1GB ROM, 64MB RAM, 2.7-inch display with 64k TFT colors, dual speaker with SRS WOW HD, 2.0 megapixel camera, secondary video camera for video call, mini-USB, 2.5mm Audio Jack, Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS. The Verzion Envii is also a very handy mobile phone measuring only 106×58x18mm and weighs a mere 145grams. And it gives out 4 hours of GSM talk time, 2 hours of UTMS talk time and up to 200 hours standby time.
